As his beautiful reddish-gold fur might suggest, Ian is a ball of fire. He is a man in motion who loves to run and play! And does he ever look handsome doing just that, running at full speed with his thick, plumey tail waving behind him! (And if you think that dogs with short legs can't run fast...well, then you haven't met Ian yet.)

Ian is easily one of the friendliest dogs we've ever known. He has yet to meet a grown-up dog, puppy, or person he doesn't like! Scottie males are known for their easygoing temperaments, and Ian is no exception. He faces life and new situations with a tongue-out smile on his face and his tail wagging.

Maybe the reason for his confidence is that he is gorgeous. He really is, and his puppies are just like him. We know from Ian's breeder that several of his family members have done well in the show ring, and we are almost certain that Ian could, too, if we were to show him.

Ian comes from a black/wheaten breeding and has produced at least four wheaten puppies per litter. His wheaten children all get his beautiful reddish coloring, and they are just striking. (His black kids are easy on the eyes, too!)

With his confidence, wonderful disposition, and the air of dignity Ian has about him even when he's doing something silly, he is everything that a Scottish Terrier should be.

It's amazing to us how different Maggie is from Ian, and how perfectly they complement one another as a pair. Maggie is a little less outgoing than Ian; she is a mama's (and daddy's) girl who would rather be snuggled up on our laps than out investigating everything.

Maggie is absolutely lovely, with the most beautiful, soulful deep brown eyes and very expressive eyebrows. If we were to sum her up in one word, "sweet" would be it. She is gentle and calm, and...well, very deep. (If you have loved a Scottie, you know what we mean.) She is incredibly intelligent, too--show her something once, and she gets it.

Maggie is just a phenomenal mom, too. She and Ian have had six puppies per litter (which is a big litter for Scotties!), and Maggie is amazing. Even with her first litter, she knew just what to do and had her babies with no problems whatsoever. She produces a ton of milk and is the most loving mom. And Maggie loves being a mom. She looks so proud whenever we look at and compliment her puppies!

Maggie has the whole package--beauty, brains, and a heart of gold.
